Synopsis and Discussion
Particle pollution and ozone remain code GREEN, Saturday, throughout the Triad. Moisture will be on the increase, Sunday, ahead of a strong cold front which will sweep through the region, Monday. Clouds will begin to overspread the area, Sunday afternoon, helping to keep ozone production lower and code GREEN. At the same time, moderate winds will help to mix the air mass, Sunday, leading to a continuation of code GREEN particle pollution. Heavy showers and thunderstorms are likely, Monday afternoon, as the front swings across the state. As a result, air quality will remain code GREEN. Behind the front, a much cooler and cleaner air mass will push into the Triad, resulting in code GREEN air quality, Tuesday, as well (GENTRY).
