Synopsis and Discussion
Sunny skies and temperatues in the low 80s are helping to push ozone readings to upper code GREEN, Wednesday. Particle pollution remains mid code GREEN. High pressure will settle overhead Thursday through Saturday providing continued clear/sunny skies, temperatures around 90, lower humidity, and light winds. These ingredients are very condusive for much higher ozone production each afternoon and evening. Ozone can be expected to climb back to code YELLOW, Thursday, as particle pollution reaches upper code GREEN. As of now, ozone is forecast to only reach the upper end of code YELLOW, Friday and Saturday, but an upgrade to a high category can not be ruled out, just yet. Particle pollution will also be in the code YELLOW range, Friday and Saturday. Stay tuned to the next daily air quality forecast, issued Thursday afternoon for the latest forecast on this potential poor air quality episode (GENTRY).
